No Room for Delays: Roads Minister Threatens Contract Termination Over Big Push Projects
Ghana's Roads and Highways Minister, Kwame Governs Agbodza, has issued a stern warning to contractors involved in the government's Big Push infrastructure programme, making clear that excuses for delays will not be tolerated.
Speaking on the matter, the minister demanded that contractors immediately mobilise to project sites and maintain agreed timelines, emphasising that failure to do so could result in the termination of their contracts. The Big Push is a key government initiative aimed at accelerating infrastructure development across the country.
The warning comes as the ministry seeks to ensure accountability and timely completion of critical road and highway projects that are vital to Ghana's economic development and connectivity.
Contractors have been instructed to take the minister's position seriously and prioritise project delivery to avoid facing sanctions or contract cancellations.
