Fashion Designer Found Dead in Koforidua; Police Probe Suspected Murder
The body of Isaac Amanor, a middle-aged fashion designer, was found in Trom Dominion City, Adweso Town, in the New Juaben South Municipality of the Eastern Region, on Sunday morning. Amanor, believed to be in his late 40s, operated a tailoring shop near Koforidua Sports Stadium and was discovered partially clothed near residential homes in the developing community.
Circumstances surrounding his death remain unclear, though initial reports suggest he may have been murdered by unknown assailants who allegedly dumped his body at the location. Police investigations are ongoing to establish the exact cause of death and identify those responsible.
The discovery has sparked serious security concerns among residents. Local people have raised alarm about rising insecurity in the area and criticised what they describe as a delayed police response, stating that officers took considerable time to arrive at the scene after the body was reported.
Samuel Atta Amo, Assembly Member for Adweso Town Electoral Area, described the incident as deeply disturbing and called for immediate action to strengthen security measures in the fast-developing community. Residents have appealed for increased police presence to prevent similar incidents.
