Ex-NAFCO Chief Rearrested at Accra Airport Over Frozen Bank Account Allegations
Ex-National Food Buffer Stock Company (NAFCO) boss Hanan Aludiba has been rearrested at Accra International Airport, according to the Deputy Attorney General. The arrest came despite Aludiba having been granted travel authorisation to the United Kingdom.
Authorities allege that Aludiba attempted to withdraw funds from his frozen Republic Bank account before departing Ghana. The Deputy AG confirmed the detention, highlighting concerns about potential breaches of court orders freezing the account.
This development marks an escalation in the legal proceedings against the former state enterprise official, who has faced multiple investigations and court appearances in recent months. The circumstances surrounding the frozen account and the reasons for the travel permission remain subjects of ongoing scrutiny.
