Multiple award-winning gospel minister Eric Jeshrun has successfully revived his flagship August Worship event after a four-year break, drawing hundreds of worshippers to Cedar Mountain Chapel, Assemblies of God, in Shiashie last Sunday. The highly anticipated return marked a significant moment on Ghana's Christian calendar, as the minister resumed the annual gathering that previously drew thousands during its regular run.

The August 30 edition of the event featured a powerful lineup of gospel heavyweights including Pastor Isaiah Fosu-Kwakye, Petra Odubayo, Noble G and Team Eternity. The night's surprise highlight came when renowned gospel musician Joe Mettle delivered a powerful performance that captivated attendees. Throughout the evening, Jeshrun led congregants through an atmosphere of worship and prayer, utilising what organisers describe as his healing and prophetic gifts to connect worshippers spiritually.

A week-long spiritual preparation

The main worship event was bookended by the Much Fruit Conference, which ran for a full week from August 23 to August 29 at Faith Gatherings Worldwide Church.
