PwC Ghana names George Arhin as new Country Senior Partner from October 2026

PwC Ghana has announced a significant leadership transition, appointing George Arhin as Country Senior Partner (CSP) effective 1 October 2026. The move marks a planned succession as current leader Vish Ashiagbor prepares to retire on 30 June 2027 after 26 years with the firm.

In his new role, Arhin will oversee PwC's entire Ghana operation and extend his leadership across Liberia and Sierra Leone, positioning him as a key figure in the firm's West African strategy. Ashiagbor will remain involved during the transition period to ensure continuity.

Arhin's track record and credentials

Arhin brings more than two decades of experience within PwC, having built his career across both Ghana and the United Kingdom. His previous roles within the firm demonstrate broad exposure across multiple business lines and geographies. Most recently, he served as Assurance Leader for PwC Ghana and PwC Liberia, managing service delivery across several francophone African nations.

His earlier positions included leading PwC's Business School initiatives, heading Human Capital services across Ghana, Liberia and Sierra Leone, and directing the Energy, Utilities and Resources sector practice in Ghana. At the continental level, Arhin serves on the PwC Africa Board, where he previously chaired the Clients and Market Development Committee and currently chairs the Governance and Partner Affairs Committee.

Professionally, Arhin holds an MBA from INSEAD and a BSc in Business Administration from the University of Ghana Business School. He is a fellow of four major accounting and management bodies: CIMA, CGMA, ACCA, and ICAG (Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana). His qualifications span finance, accounting, governance, strategy and risk management.
