NPP Must Reunite Sidelined Members to Regain Power, Says Afoko
Paul Afoko, former National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has called on the party to bring back all members into the fold if it hopes to return to power in future elections.
Speaking to the party during a recent engagement, Afoko reflected on his leadership tenure, when the NPP won 169 parliamentary seats. He expressed concern over the subsequent drop to 137 seats in the following election, a loss he directly attributed to the party's approach of marginalising some of its own members.
The veteran politician's remarks underline growing concerns within NPP circles about internal cohesion and member retention ahead of upcoming electoral contests. His comments suggest that internal unity and inclusive party management are critical factors in the party's electoral prospects.
