Man arrested after deadly attack on aunt's boyfriend in Central Region

Police in the Central Region have arrested a 35-year-old man, Yaw Ezekiel, in connection with the death of his aunt's boyfriend at Atwere Bebiaa Ne Ha, near Awutu Obrachire in Awutu Senya West District.

According to reports, the suspect had repeatedly objected to the deceased pursuing a romantic relationship with his aunt. Tensions between the two men escalated into a violent confrontation that resulted in the fatal incident.

The deceased's brother, Kojo Bentum, confirmed the incident to local media, providing details of the tragic event. The body has been transferred to the Police Hospital Mortuary pending further proceedings.

Nana Kweku Asare, Acting Head of Family at Atwere Bebiaa Ne Ha, expressed shock at the killing. Community members have raised concerns about increasing violence linked to personal disputes in the area.

The Awutu Bawjiase District Police Command is holding the suspect in custody as investigations continue into the circumstances surrounding the death.
