Kekeli Verse Drops Debut Album Blending Emotion and Logic
A Personal Journey Set to Sound
Ghanaian cinematic drill artist Kekeli Verse has officially released his debut album 'Soul is Emotions… Body Is Logic', a 14-track project that navigates themes of heartbreak, survival, betrayal, sacrifice, identity, ambition and personal growth. The album draws heavily from the artist's personal experiences, particularly his reconnection with family after a period of distance.
The project opens with a voice message from Kekeli Verse's mother offering words of encouragement, immediately establishing an emotional foundation. Rather than focusing on romantic heartbreak, the album centres on the financial pressures and challenges of building a music career, with the artist describing it as "a journey between what we feel and what we know. The soul carries emotions, but the body survives through logic."
Three-Act Structure Explores Inner Conflict
Structured across three acts—Foundation, Conflict and Identity—the album shifts between emotion and logic, pain and purpose. Kekeli Verse self-produced 80 percent of the project, collaborating with notable features from Lyrical Joe, Shaike Mumzoo, Ian Jazzi and Q. The artist hopes listeners will feel motivated rather than merely entertained, with track 10 "Verse" standing out as a personal reflection of his grind and persistence in the industry.
'Soul is Emotions… Body Is Logic' is now available across all major streaming platforms through Kekeli Verse's independent label, APMG.
