Ghana's Issaka Baba Seidu Completes Loan Move to Swedish Top-Flight Club Goteborg
Ghanaian left-back Issaka Baba Seidu has completed a loan move to Swedish Allsvenskan side IFK Goteborg. The defender, who developed through Ghana's Right to Dream Academy, will spend the 2026/27 season at the club on loan from Danish side FC Nordsjaelland, with Goteborg holding an option to purchase him permanently should his performances impress.
Seidu's path to Sweden has included a recent spell at Swedish second-division club Ljungskile, where he made 13 appearances, scoring one goal and registering one assist after joining on loan in March. His solid performances at that level earned him this opportunity to test himself in the Allsvenskan.
The 28-shirted defender will link up with fellow Ghanaian Rockson Yeboah at Goteborg, providing some familiarity as he continues his career development in Scandinavia. After his spell with the Right to Dream Academy, Seidu was transferred to FC Nordsjaelland to further his football education.
The deal represents another opportunity for the young Ghanaian to establish himself at a higher level and potentially secure a permanent contract away from his parent club.
