ECG to cut power in Tema for three days of maintenance work

The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has notified residents and businesses across the Tema Region to expect temporary power cuts over a three-day period as the utility undertakes critical maintenance work on its distribution network.

The planned outages will affect multiple communities across Tema from Tuesday, September 29 through Thursday, October 1, with power expected to be unavailable between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. each day. The ECG released the announcement on Saturday, September 26, giving affected customers roughly three days' notice to prepare.

Which areas will be affected

The maintenance programme spans a broad swathe of the Tema Region, with different communities affected on different days.

On Tuesday, September 29, outages will hit residential and industrial areas including Cambodia, Naval Quarters, Akuaba, Manet Estate, Coastal Estate, Kasapreko Packaging, Klagon, and surrounding localities.

Wednesday's outages will disrupt service in the eastern and southern portions of the region, affecting Golf City, Sakumono Village, Ada Foah, Big Ada, Nungua, and communities stretching toward the Greater Accra Region border.

Thursday's final round of maintenance will target areas including Addogonnor, Devtraco, Frimpoma Estate, Don Bosco, Bethlehem, and associated neighbourhoods.
