Vivo Energy Ghana, the exclusive distributor of Shell-branded fuels and lubricants in Ghana, has held its annual Safety Day and Awards ceremony at its Airport City service station in Accra, reaffirming the company's commitment to operational safety and emergency readiness. The event comes at a critical time for Ghana's petroleum sector, which has faced increasing scrutiny over tanker accidents, fuel siphoning incidents, and safety lapses across the downstream distribution chain.

The 2026 celebration, themed "Prepare to Respond," brought together employees, industry regulators, business partners, and key stakeholders to discuss how the sector can strengthen its approach to Health, Safety, Security, Environment, and Quality (HSSEQ) management. Managing Director Christian Li underscored that safety requires deliberate action and collective responsibility, noting the company has achieved over 5,600 consecutive days with zero harm incidents.
