ROCH Electronics and PLB Marco Open Flagship Showrooms in Accra's Industrial Hub

ROCH Electronics and PLB Marco have marked a significant expansion of their retail footprint in Ghana with the official opening of two purpose-built showrooms in Accra's North Industrial Area. The dual launch represents a strategic investment by both brands to bring their product ranges closer to Ghanaian consumers and provide immersive shopping experiences that go beyond traditional retail.

The ROCH Exclusive Premium Showroom operates under the company's "Live Smarter" brand promise, offering customers an opportunity to experience a comprehensive range of home appliances before purchase. The showroom displays televisions, refrigerators, air conditioners, washing machines, freezers, water dispensers, blenders, kettles, microwaves and irons, with trained representatives available to guide customers through product features and functionality. This hands-on approach reflects a broader shift among consumer goods companies to create destination shopping experiences rather than relying solely on online or scattered retail channels.

Vinod Makwana, Director and Board Member of ROCH Electronics, emphasised the company's commitment to the Ghanaian market. "ROCH has grown in Ghana by listening to consumers and supporting them with products that fit everyday life. This dedicated showroom brings that commitment together in one place, allowing customers to experience our appliances, understand their features and purchase with greater confidence," he stated during the inauguration.

What the showrooms offer Ghanaian consumers

Beyond the ROCH appliances showroom, PLB Marco has established a separate showroom dedicated to construction and building solutions. Operating under its "Building Futures" promise, the PLB Marco showroom brings together products from established brands including Dr. Fixit, Asian Paints and Jaquar. This curated approach allows homeowners, contractors, architects and developers to access integrated solutions for waterproofing, paints, decorative finishes, bathroom fixtures and sanitary products in one location.

Amit Mahajan, Chief Marketing Officer for ROCH Electronics Ghana, highlighted how the dual showrooms enhance customer accessibility. "Today's inauguration of two dedicated showrooms makes each brand experience more personal and tangible. Customers can explore ROCH appliances or PLB Marco construction solutions, receive informed guidance and choose products with dependable local support here in Ghana."

Customer support remains central to both brands' value propositions. ROCH products come with applicable manufacturer warranties and local after-sales service within Ghana, though warranty terms vary by product and model. This local support infrastructure is particularly important in Ghana's retail landscape, where after-sales service reliability influences purchase decisions.

Why it matters for Ghana's retail and housing sectors

The opening of these showrooms signals confidence in Ghana's consumer market and reflects broader trends in how international brands are approaching the West African region. ROCH Electronics already operates across 32 African countries, and its decision to invest in dedicated premium showrooms in Accra suggests the Ghanaian market represents a priority for expansion.

For Ghanaian consumers and businesses, the development has practical implications. The showrooms reduce the friction in purchasing decisions by allowing customers to evaluate products physically before committing. For property developers, contractors and architects working on residential and commercial projects, having a centralised location to source construction materials and sanitary solutions streamlines procurement processes.

The timing also aligns with Ghana's ongoing urbanisation and the rising middle class demand for quality home appliances and construction materials. As more Ghanaians invest in home ownership and upgrading, accessible retail options that combine product variety with expert guidance become increasingly valuable.

ROCH products remain available through multiple channels beyond the new showroom, including Ezone outlets and authorised dealers nationwide, ensuring that the premium showroom complements rather than replaces existing distribution networks. This omnichannel approach allows the company to serve different customer segments and shopping preferences across Ghana's diverse geography.
