Republic Bank and JoyNews launch three-day housing fair in Ho to support Volta Region homeowners
Prospective homeowners and property investors across the Volta Region now have a direct opportunity to explore housing solutions and financial support at the Republic Bank–JoyNews Habitat Fair, which launches today at Ho Sports Stadium and runs through Sunday, October 18.
The three-day event brings together 19 participating institutions and businesses spanning real estate development, construction, building materials supply and financial services under one roof. For many Ghanaians, particularly in regional areas, accessing reliable information and meeting trusted service providers for major purchases like property remains challenging—this fair aims to close that gap by creating a dedicated space for meaningful engagement.
Who's exhibiting and what they offer
The fair features a diverse range of service providers tailored to different stages of the property journey. Republic Bank will showcase housing-related banking solutions and mortgage options, while real estate companies including Nestas Homes Limited, Adonai Estate Limited and TDC Ghana Limited will present available properties and investment opportunities.
For those ready to build, Lipe Builders & Contractors and Akwaaba Building Materials offer construction and materials expertise. The fair also features specialised suppliers addressing specific building needs: Interplast for plumbing systems, Vol-link Roofing System for roofing solutions, Sintex Tanks for water storage, DoorMaster for doors and access systems, and Virtual Security Africa for home security options. MTN is also participating to discuss connectivity and digital services relevant to modern homes.
Additional participating businesses include C Techi GH Limited, Waylead Company GH Ltd, Ayuda App, Rhoyak Ventures, Simef Gold Limited and Lesh Fortune Ltd, ensuring comprehensive coverage of housing and construction needs.
Why it matters for the Volta Region
The Volta Region, like many areas outside Accra and Kumasi, often faces limited direct access to major property developers, established builders and formal financial institutions offering housing products. Fairs like this are significant because they democratise access to information and services that urban residents may take for granted. Prospective homeowners can compare multiple options, ask questions directly and build confidence in major financial decisions without extensive travel or fragmented research.
For the region's growing middle class and younger professionals, the event also provides a chance to explore both purchasing existing properties and undertaking construction projects—two critical pathways to wealth-building. The inclusion of Republic Bank's financial services is particularly relevant, as formal credit access for housing remains a barrier for many Ghanaians, especially outside major urban centres. By bringing these services directly to Ho, the fair removes friction in the decision-making process.
What visitors should expect
Attendees can expect a practical, transactional experience rather than passive observation. Direct engagement with exhibitors allows visitors to ask questions specific to their circumstances, explore financing terms, view property portfolios and gather samples or literature on building materials and services. For those already contemplating a major property or construction investment, the fair offers an efficient way to gather critical information and narrow down options before committing.
The three-day format also allows flexibility—those with limited time on Friday can return over the weekend, whilst serious prospects may use multiple days to conduct thorough due diligence.
