The Luv FM Kel-Charcoal Toothpaste High School Debate reached a decisive turning point on Day 4, as Opoku Ware School and Konongo Odumase SHS (KOSS) claimed emphatic victories to advance deeper into the competition. The wins came at the expense of Afia Kobi Ampem Girls SHS and Kumasi Academy, whose campaigns came to an end following strong performances that ultimately fell short.

Opoku Ware's judicial system triumph

In Contest 7, Opoku Ware School squared off against Afia Kobi Ampem Girls SHS over the motion "Ghana's judicial system should prioritise restorative justice over punitive justice." Afia Kobi Ampem championed restorative approaches, with their principal speaker highlighting how rehabilitation rather than imprisonment could prevent the trauma and social stigma associated with conviction records, particularly for minor offences.

Opoku Ware's counterargument centred on the necessity of punitive measures for serious crimes. Their principal speaker underscored public safety concerns, arguing that permitting dangerous criminals—including murderers—to escape consequences would create widespread fear and insecurity in society. After intense rebuttals, Opoku Ware claimed a decisive 30-point victory, winning 233–203 on a unanimous judges' decision. An Opoku Ware debater told JoyNews: "We do not fear whoever comes our way. Whoever our next opponents are, get ready for a show."

KOSS edges Kumasi Academy in tight Ghana Beyond Aid debate

Contest 8 pitted Kumasi Academy against Konongo Odumase in a closely contested clash over the motion "Ghana Beyond Aid is a Fallacy." Kumasi Academy, arguing in favour, presented evidence of risks and misaligned expectations created by the "Beyond Aid" narrative. Konongo Odumase countered with logical rebuttals challenging Kumasi Academy's position.

With supporters from both schools creating an electric atmosphere, judges ultimately sided with Konongo Odumase by a narrow majority decision, with KOSS winning 231–213. The school's Debating Society President expressed confidence in the team's resolve: "The determination of our school in this year's competition cannot be undermined by any spirit of failure."
