Nobyah FM/TV in Nalerigu, located in Ghana's North East Region, has been forced off air following a severe fire that swept through the station's premises in the early hours of Saturday, 27 June.

The incident occurred around 5:00 a.m., shortly after the area experienced a power outage, according to Station Manager Yaw Boakye. The fire caused extensive damage to the station's broadcasting equipment and infrastructure, leaving the facility unable to continue operations.

The exact cause of the fire is yet to be fully established, though its occurrence immediately after the power cut raises questions about electrical safety measures at the station.
