Ghana's Education Ministry Rolls Out Anti-Drug Campaign in Schools with Daily Assembly Messages
Ghana's Education Ministry has launched a nationwide behavioural change communication campaign targeting drug abuse in schools. The initiative aims to reinforce anti-drug messaging among students through a structured daily routine.
Under the new directive, students will recite an approved campaign message during morning assemblies, positioned strategically after the National Anthem and before the National Pledge. This placement ensures the anti-drug message becomes part of the established school routine, reaching all students at the start of each school day.
The campaign represents the Ministry's commitment to addressing substance abuse among the youth, leveraging the school assembly as a platform for consistent reinforcement of positive behaviour and drug-awareness messaging.
