Samini Brings Dancehall Energy to Retro Vibes Day Club's Second Birthday Bash

Samini, one of Ghana's most celebrated dancehall and reggae artists, will take centre stage at Retro Vibes Day Club's second anniversary celebration, promising an unforgettable afternoon of music and nostalgia at Underbridge Annex on Sunday, October 4, 2026.

The event runs from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm and represents a significant milestone for the day club, which has established itself as a go-to venue for Accra's music enthusiasts seeking quality entertainment in a relaxed, retro-themed setting. With Samini headlining the bill, organisers are expecting a strong turnout from fans eager to experience the artist's signature high-energy stage presence and extensive catalogue of hits in an intimate day-club atmosphere.

What to Expect at the Celebration

Beyond Samini's headline performance, the anniversary party features a carefully curated lineup designed to keep the energy flowing throughout the afternoon. DJ Mingle, DJ Mactonto and DJ Dela will rotate behind the decks, blending classic tracks with contemporary sounds to create the nostalgic yet vibrant atmosphere the venue is known for. MC Kwabbsferry will guide attendees through the programme, ensuring smooth transitions between performances and adding commentary and entertainment value.

The event format—a daytime celebration rather than an evening club experience—positions it as an accessible option for patrons who prefer afternoon entertainment. This setup allows attendees to enjoy live music and socialising without the late-night commitment of traditional nightclub events.

Why It Matters for Ghana's Entertainment Scene

Retro Vibes Day Club's second anniversary milestone reflects the growing appetite among Ghanaians for diverse entertainment venues and experiences. The venue's success demonstrates that Accra's nightlife landscape continues to evolve, with day clubs and alternative social spaces gaining traction alongside traditional late-night venues.

Samini's involvement underscores the continued relevance of Ghana's homegrown music talent in driving event attendance and cultural engagement. The dancehall and reggae genre remains a cornerstone of Ghana's music industry, and performances like this showcase how established artists continue to command audience loyalty and draw significant crowds. For event promoters, securing headline acts of Samini's calibre signals confidence in market demand and helps establish event credibility within Ghana's competitive entertainment sector.

The anniversary celebration also highlights the networking opportunities and community-building aspects of Accra's entertainment venues, where music fans, industry players and social enthusiasts converge around shared cultural interests.
