NPP General Secretary Justin Kodua Frimpong Honoured with Traditional Title by Dangme Executives

The New Patriotic Party's General Secretary, Justin Kodua Frimpong, has been bestowed with the traditional honour of Nene Korle I by the party's constituency executives in the Dangme areas, a gesture he has welcomed with gratitude and humility.

The recognition comes as Mr Kodua seeks re-election to his position within the opposition party. In his acknowledgement of the honour shared on social media, he described the distinction as rare and reflective of the confidence placed in him by local party structures in the Greater Accra region.

Mr Kodua's response to the honour drew heavily on traditional African proverbs and symbolism. He opened his statement with the saying: "A tree does not choose where it is planted, but it is known by the shade it gives," suggesting that his value lies in the service he provides to the party and its members.

"Like the baobab that offers shade to all who gather beneath it, I pledge to continue serving with fairness, humility, and unwavering commitment to our great party," he stated.

The General Secretary also honoured the local Dangme language and culture by expressing his gratitude in that tongue, saying "Mii ni oyeoo. Ayi booo," a gesture that resonated with the constituency executives who conferred the title.
