Ghanaian Businesses Steal the Spotlight at Boston World Cup Expo Organised by Litina Travel

A major trade and investment exhibition celebrating Ghanaian products drew hundreds of visitors to Boston last weekend, as Litina Travel and Tours successfully used the 2026 FIFA World Cup to put Ghanaian businesses in front of an international audience. The two-day expo, held on 22 and 23 June at the Envision Hotel and Conference Centre, brought together manufacturers, entrepreneurs, diaspora members and foreign investors under one roof.

The event was held in partnership with Ghana's Ministry of Trade, Agribusiness and Industry, and its significance was underscored by the attendance of Deputy Minister Samson Ahi and Ghana's Ambassador to the United States, Emmanuel Smith. Their presence signalled the government's backing for initiatives that open up export markets for Ghanaian producers.

The timing of the expo was deliberate — it coincided with Ghana's group-stage match against England, which was played in Boston, ensuring that thousands of football fans and potential buyers from across the world passed through the city. Organisers seized on that footfall to connect Ghanaian companies with distributors, investors and consumers they would otherwise have struggled to reach.

Wide Range of Sectors on Display

Exhibitors spanned a broad cross-section of the Ghanaian economy, covering manufacturing, hospitality, construction, real estate, fashion, food and beverages, beauty products and professional services. Among the well-known names present were Kasapreko, Alisa Hotel, Indigo Homes, Geo-Berg Housing, Ghana Supply, Ephroumic, Damax Construction, Wear Ajisibea and the Diaspora Office.

Diaspora visitors engaged directly with exhibitors over the two days, exploring investment prospects and expressing strong interest in supporting home-grown Ghanaian brands. Business executives and prospective commercial partners also attended, with many eyeing long-term distribution and partnership arrangements.

Speaking after the expo concluded, organisers described the event as a meaningful stride towards establishing Ghanaian businesses in global markets, arguing that a tournament of the World Cup's scale offered a rare and powerful platform to deepen trade ties between Ghana and the United States while generating sustainable export growth for the long term.
